History

We are a car rental company founded in 1974, we offer cheap rental rates, as well as a pleasant and uncomplicated customer service experience, in the most popular travel destinations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean , Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific area.

In 2000 we started operations in the Dominican Republic with the franchise business model. Locally we are represented by Motor Plan S.A., a company that is part of Grupo Ámbar, one of the main automotive groups in the country.

At Alamo Rent a Car we serve the needs of both foreign and local leisure travelers who want to rent a vehicle with an excellent value for money offer. Our staff is highly trained and aims to provide extraordinary service both in our 17 stations located nationwide and in our Contact Center.
